Which Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari Length Fits You?
Most of a gorilla safari is decided by length. The trek itself takes one day; everything else is what the extra days add — and how much of them you spend in the car.

Four or five days
Four or five days is enough for gorillas plus one more experience. From Kigali that can be Akagera’s savannah or golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park; from Entebbe it is usually Queen Elizabeth or Lake Mburo, because the drive to Bwindi takes most of a day anyway.

Six days and more
Six or seven days lets you add two stops without a long drive every day — for example Queen Elizabeth on the way in and Lake Bunyonyi on the way out. Eight days and more is for combining countries (Rwanda, Tanzania, Congo) or doing a full loop with chimps in Kibale.

Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari FAQ
How many days do I need for a gorilla safari in Uganda?
Four to five days for gorillas plus one other experience; six to seven for a proper safari with two parks. The trek itself is one day.
What is the best gorilla safari route?
From Entebbe: Queen Elizabeth or Lake Mburo, then Bwindi, then Lake Bunyonyi. From Kigali: golden monkeys or Akagera in Rwanda, then Bwindi.
How much does a gorilla safari in Uganda cost?
Full prices start at $1,800 for 4 days and $2,200–2,300 for 5–6 days with the permit included. The largest group, 22 trips, costs $3,000–5,000; 10 cost $5,000 or more.
Is the gorilla permit included?

Can I combine Rwanda and Uganda?
